Jakarta, October 13, 2022 – Throughout October 2022, PT Danpac Pharma through its contraceptive brand, VIVO, held an art exhibition titled Hotel for Play #SensationalExperience at Lotte Shopping Avenue, Jakarta. This exhibition is VIVO's response to the high number of people living with HIV in Indonesia, which according to data from the Ministry of Health, until June 2022, the total reached 519,158 people. Through this exhibition, VIVO aims to increase public awareness of the importance of using contraceptives to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
Not only art exhibitions, VIVO also shows its commitment to alleviating HIV issues by making the #PlaySafe social campaign from the Asian Medical Students' Association - Indonesia (AMSA-Indonesia) as part of the Hoter for Play series. This campaign is held through the Campaign #ForChange application, a social action platform from Campaign.com, which makes it easy for users to support social campaigns without spending money. Yoevan Wiraatmaja, CEO of PT Danpac Pharma explained that this collaboration with AMSA-Indonesia and Campaign.com is one of VIVO's efforts to expand the positive impact that it wants to create through Hotel for Play.
Alisha as Liaison Officer for Non-Governmental Organization AMSA-Indonesia 2022/2023 said that the #PlaySafe social campaign carries a message similar to that echoed by VIVO. “Education about reproductive health and sexuality is often considered a taboo subject. In fact, this education needs to be disseminated, one of which is to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, such as HIV/AIDS which is quite high in Indonesia. That's also one of the reasons we launched the #PlaySafe campaign. We hope that this campaign can become a means of education about reproductive health and sexuality to the general public, as well as a means of raising funds so that AMSA-Indonesia can continue its programs aimed at improving the health of the Indonesian people," Alisha explained.
To participate in the #PlaySafe campaign, it's very easy. Anyone can download the Campaign #ForChange application either through the App Store or Google Play Store, then complete the challenges contained in the #PlaySafe campaign from AMSA-Indonesia. Each challenge that is completed according to the instructions will be converted into a donation of IDR 50,000 by VIVO to fund education programs conducted by AMSA-Indonesia.
